Siobhan’s Story
Pets Move Abroad began with a simple act of kindness. Our founder, Siobhan Sinclair, an experienced expatriate transitions advisor in the South Pacific, was asked to help relocate a cat and dog to Ethiopia. “Yes, I can help with that,” she replied, little knowing it would spark a new passion.
The COVID-19 pandemic dramatically shifted the expat world. Contracts ended abruptly, leaving many to return home quickly – and often without their beloved pets. Siobhan witnessed the distress this caused and stepped in, helping families reunite with their furry companions.
Building on her existing relocation expertise and valuable contacts, Siobhan pivoted to focus on international pet moves. Her dedication and professionalism earned her a nomination and acceptance into the International Pet and Animal Transportation Association (IPATA), solidifying her place within the global community of pet shippers.
While Pets Move Abroad now operates worldwide, its roots remain in the South Pacific, a region that holds a special place in Siobhan’s heart. The positive feedback from clients speaks volumes: Siobhan’s genuine care for both pets and their owners is evident. She has found her true calling, proving herself to be an exceptional pet mover.
